Personality
Ace is a very spunky fella who loves bucking and escaping from his grooms. He's fast and he knows it. He is constantly chomping on his bit and he gets very antsy before races and gets quiet jumpy. He's very cocky and likes to show off for the mares. Ace loves to show the world his tongue, to the point in which team Sugarhill has to put a sign next to his stall that says 'please do not touch Silver Lining's tongue'. Ace never misses a chance to shower you in his boogers. Ace is in no way lazy and when he isn't in his stall its go! go! go! He has a bit of an obsession with head bobbing, and pawing at the ground. He has a passion for running, and when he isn't too hot headed during a race he has a competitive side that will lead him right down to the wire holding on to the lead for dear life and then some. Ace never misses a chance to show off for some treats, he loves carrots, mints, sugar cubes, anything. He's a big horse, but he's built like a twig, he's very tall and narrow, which is good for weaving in and out of tight situations.
Racing StatsNext Race: Resting
Race Record: 10-1-2-3 Grade: 5 Surface: Dirt Distance: 6-9 Furlongs Leg Type: Variable Racing Style: Ace breaks sharply from the gate and pushes the leaders the whole way around the track. If he needs to be further behind the pace he can go back and stalk as well. Ace enjoys outrunning other horses, and finds a lot of enjoyment in stealing the lead and kicking on for home around the two furlong mark depending on how long the race is (he excels at a mile the most). On any good day, when he focuses he's nearly unbeatable, but due to the fact he's still very green and a hot head... he's his own worst enemy, however with the more races he's in the more he learns and improves. Along with speed, Ace has natural born stamina that can take him all the way to 9 furlongs, and there is little doubt that with a little more seasoning he can be a real champ. |
